Something is Wrong With My Dog Sent Back Ending

Complete the radio and four-beacon escape route, keep Jerry with you, and lure him through the reopened arch for the Sent Back ending.

The Sent Back ending uses the escape arch for Jerry rather than the player. The official badge says, “Bob’s dog can rest now.” In the current walkthrough, the player completes the same radio, old-spawn, and four-beacon setup used for the light route, waits for the arch to open, and lures Jerry through it.

Confidence: the badge name and outcome are Official. The four-beacon setup and Jerry-lure sequence are Community reported from an October 2026 ten-ending run.

Plan Sent Back before opening the arch

Choose this outcome before completing the beacons. If the group is expecting Pulled Out, someone may immediately enter the light and end the run before Jerry is positioned. State the target ending and decide who will hold Jerry’s attention near the final approach.

Run Story and preserve Jerry through the prerequisite route. A branch in which Jerry is gone, defeated, or no longer following cannot be repaired at the portal by simply lighting the towers. Confirm his current behavior before spending the radio materials.

The official badge does not publish whether every party member must be near the arch or who receives credit. Keep the players seeking the outcome together and avoid splitting across distant map areas during the final transition.

Build the escape route

The current path prepares an iron pickaxe, the live radio material, and flint and steel. The walkthrough objective shows 12 redrock dust for Bob’s tower radio and describes the ore as deep underground. It shows flint coming from gravel and iron from mining for the flint-and-steel craft.

Use the material on the radio with Right Click and wait for Klim’s contact and the red X marker. Travel to the portal area and old spawn. When the beacon task appears, identify the four towers before dividing the group.

These mechanics are Community reported, not a developer recipe. If the current objective changes a quantity or item name, follow the live panel. The sequence matters more than preserving an obsolete label.

Activate all four towers

Climb each tower and use flint and steel on the coal at the top. The checked objective displays progress out of four. Watch the counter register each activation; a flame elsewhere on the tower is not sufficient evidence.

Keep Jerry’s route in mind while lighting the last tower. Do not leave him separated by terrain, trapped behind a structure, or focused on another distant player. The final step is easier when the player responsible for luring him already controls the approach to the arch.

When the fourth beacon completes, the current video shows Klim announcing that the arch is open and telling the player to go through. For Sent Back, resist taking that instruction as the player’s ending. The changed goal is to bring Jerry to the opening.

Lure Jerry through the arch

Position yourself so Jerry’s path continues toward the active portal. Maintain enough distance to keep movement readable without outrunning or losing him. Avoid sharp corners and player-built obstructions on the final approach.

The walkthrough caption describes luring Jerry when the beacon starts again, and the visible objective says to go through the arch. The successful distinction is who crosses. Bring Jerry into the active opening and allow the transition to register before the player resets or enters another route.

If Jerry stops, verify that he is following the intended player and has a clear path. Do not attack him; Put Down and Bad Owner are different outcomes. Do not let the route owner cross the arch alone first, which can pursue Pulled Out instead.

Sent Back route checklist

  1. Join Story and preserve a state in which Jerry can still follow or be lured.
  2. Prepare the live radio material, an iron pickaxe, and flint and steel before the late route.
  3. Use the radio in Bob’s tower, confirm Klim’s contact, and follow the red X toward the old spawn.
  4. Locate all four beacon towers and activate the target coal with flint and steel.
  5. Confirm every activation registers and the arch opens.
  6. Keep the player seeking Sent Back outside the portal while positioning Jerry.
  7. Lure Jerry along a clear line and through the active arch.
  8. Wait for the Sent Back ending and official badge confirmation.

Troubleshoot the final lure

If Jerry does not follow, return to the last point where he responded and simplify the path. Remove or walk around blocks that create a sharp navigation edge. In multiplayer, have other players move away so Jerry does not switch attention.

If the arch closes or the objective resets, inspect the beacon count and current time. A tower that looked lit may not have registered. Revisit the objective rather than assuming the portal is permanently broken.

If the player triggers an ending before Jerry crosses, the group likely completed the Pulled Out version of the route. On the next attempt, place the route owner behind Jerry relative to the arch and assign someone else to watch the portal boundary.

Sent Back, Laid to Rest, and Put Down

These names all point toward Jerry and Bob, but their official results are different. Sent Back says Bob’s dog can rest now and uses the arch in the current route. Laid to Rest says Jerry found his way back to Bob, without a full route documented on this site. Put Down ends with Jerry buried beside Bob after a transformed fight.

Do not merge the badges because the story language sounds related. Use the live ending name and badge award as the result. That is especially important in a group, where one player’s action can resolve a branch before everyone understands which outcome was selected.

What remains uncertain

First-party evidence does not specify the radio quantity, beacon count, pathfinding behavior, party credit, exact arch boundary, or how long the portal stays open. The checked walkthrough provides a reproducible sequence for the current build, but UPDATE 3 is announced to change the world and story.

After an update, anchor the route to the official result: Jerry must be sent through the relevant escape mechanism so Bob’s dog can rest. Revalidate every material and landmark from the live objective rather than carrying October’s exact layout forward without testing.

Quick answers

Do I go through the portal for Sent Back?

The current successful route sends Jerry through. Taking the player through the light is the Pulled Out path.

Do I need all four beacons?

The checked October walkthrough uses four and does not open the arch until all register. Confirm the current counter in your server.

Why is Jerry not moving toward the arch?

Check who he is following, clear the path, reduce other-player interference, and verify that the portal is still active. Do not attack him, because that pursues a different outcome.
