Something is Wrong With My Dog Jerry Badges

Track Jerry discovery, taming, healing, care, and hunger badges with exact official wording boundaries and practical verification steps.

Jerry’s badge path moves from exact early actions to intentionally vague care states. Welcome to the Woods identifies him, Good Boy requires three bones, Treat Time requires feeding him while hurt, Good Dog requires enough love that he never turns, and Left Hungry requires hunger until he leaves. Only Good Boy publishes a number.

Welcome to the Woods

The official description places the opening encounter during the search for Uncle Ray: a thin grey wolf in a red collar watches from the treeline. Use the appearance, collar, and location together. The PUPPIES event means a small canine shape by itself is no longer enough to identify the Story target.

Approach in an early Story state and allow the sighting or objective to register. The badge does not publish an exact coordinate or minimum distance. If it fails, compare the wolf’s appearance and current mode before wandering deeper into the map.

Good Boy

Good Boy is the clearest Jerry requirement: three bones, then he is yours and follows you home. Open inventory, select bones, approach the correct wolf, and use the normal Place / Use interaction. Confirm three accepted uses, following behavior, and the badge award.

The 2x Bones pass doubles bone earnings from named activities, but it does not reduce this requirement. The Name Jerry pass changes Story dialogue after a filtered custom name; it does not replace taming.

Use the Tame Jerry guide when input, target, or item selection is unclear. Do not add an unsupported fourth step or guaranteed bone spawn to a requirement that is already precise.

Treat Time

Treat Time says, “Feed Jerry when he’s hurt.” The condition is damage plus feeding, not simply giving food at full health. Observe Jerry’s state, prepare a suitable food item, and use it after visible damage.

The API does not publish the amount of damage, food type, healing value, or whether the player who tamed Jerry must perform the feed. Test the simplest version first: the owner feeds a visibly hurt Jerry in the same run.

Wait for the badge after the interaction. If the item is consumed but no award appears, record Jerry’s visible health state and food. Do not publish a universal threshold from one attempt.

Good Dog

Good Dog was created on October 23, 2026. Its official description says to love Jerry enough that he never turns. The API does not expose an affection number, list of qualifying actions, or time requirement.

Treat this as a care-state badge rather than an arithmetic checklist. Keep Jerry fed and protected, avoid choices that harm or abandon him, and watch the live UI for feedback. Record actions and outcome, but label any proposed threshold as needing in-game testing until it repeats across current runs.

Do not automatically count Good Dog as an eleventh ending. The experience description still advertises ten endings, and the badge name itself does not state that it is an ending.

Left Hungry

Left Hungry was created alongside Good Dog and provides the opposite condition: let Jerry go hungry until he leaves. The description does not state a number of meals, hunger meter value, or elapsed time.

Use a controlled run if you pursue it. Avoid feeding Jerry and note day transitions, visible hunger feedback, and the moment he leaves. Keep unrelated ending choices out of the attempt so the cause is easier to identify.

This route intentionally conflicts with caring for Jerry. Do not attempt Good Dog and Left Hungry as if they can be completed from the same unchanged state. Reset cleanly between opposite care goals.

Separate care badges from outcome badges

Morning, The Stray, Bad Owner, Put Down, Laid to Rest, Sent Back, and other Story outcomes also involve Jerry, but their result belongs in the Story badge set. This page focuses on discovery, tame, heal, affection, and hunger interactions.

If a care choice leads into an ending, record both award names. Do not rename the care badge after the cutscene or claim every Jerry badge is one of the advertised endings.

Verify unknown thresholds responsibly

Change one variable at a time. Record mode, day, food, damage state, player owner, group size, and Creative use. Repeat a result before stating a threshold. Screenshots of the live objective or meter are stronger than memory.

Creative Mode changes Jerry’s Survival behavior for the owner, so leave it off when testing a normal care threshold unless Creative is the explicit variable. New puppies also should not be assumed to share Jerry’s badge logic.

Quick answers

How many bones unlock Good Boy?

Three. The official badge description states the count and that Jerry follows you home.

How do I unlock Treat Time?

Feed Jerry while he is hurt. The official text does not publish the damage amount or required food.

How much love is needed for Good Dog?

No numeric threshold is published. Observe the live care system and treat community numbers as unverified until repeated.

How long must Jerry stay hungry?

The Left Hungry description gives no timer. It only says to let him go hungry until he leaves.
